The weather forecast for the days after our sightseeing in Rome was rainy and unsettled, especially in the mountains. We therefore opted for a less spectacular route through the lowlands. We were able to avoid the rain well, but not the surprisingly strong headwind.
High above the Amalfi Coast leads the multi-day trekking “Alta Via dei Monti Lattari”. We used this trail as inspiration and shortened the route to two days (from Nocera Superiore to Sorrento).
… also a bike path leads along the river Tiber into the middle of the city. David navigated us confidently here and through the hustle and bustle. Yesterday we arrived in Rome and were lucky to spend the night a little outside the city with a host from Warmshowers (platform for bike travelers).
At the beginning of April we finished the administrative preparations and said goodbye to our employers and colleagues. At home we lived more and more in boxes. With the active support of family and friends, we moved the boxes into the attic of David’s parents.
