The pandemic situation continues to persist, and so do our travel plans!

Although the immigration regulations have become at best more unclear since our last Covid contribution, we plan to set off at Easter 2022. We are keeping our plan of heading east by bike and coming back from the west. We intend to start as initially planned towards Italy, Greece and Turkey, then travel through the Caucasus and, after wintering in Iran, continue on through Central Asia. We plan to bypass China via Russia to the north and arrive in Japan by ferry.

At the moment, this plan would fail from Georgia due to closed borders and discontinued ferry connections… The fine planning of the exact route will require a lot of flexibility and creativity. We are looking forward to the upcoming adventure and we are excited to see what is waiting for us!
